But I do enjoy games like this so I still try to find the odd few that understand this. Solo players do not have a chance in all hell of getting any play time and since I do not have a ton of time to dedicate to an mmo anymore its not fair of me to group up and expect people to wait on me.

PVP was fun at one time but now a days the full server grief fests are just old. I am so glad I came across this discussion before I purchased, this is one game I will not be wasting any money on. Also the game clearly talks about PvP in multiple locations, so I guess that would mean there is PvP in the game. Based on your whining here I highly doubt you just ignored it. My reading comprehension is fine, just hard to get pass all the salt. The wonderful thing about comment threads like this is at least it brings out the exact type of people that I don't want to play with. The first Wild Terra has been fantastic, and I WAS excited for the second, but considering the response I have gotten here, I can see that its not going to be enjoyable for me, so I simply won't spend my money (Not my moms, MINE, because I actually WORK for a living) on it, and will, instead, support games that fit my playstyle. It has nothing to do with "Gamers need to get a backbone" and EVERYTHING to do SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE PVP, hence why I asked the question.

I ALSO tried another time, and tried again on the following free demo time, same issue. I DID try ignoring/running away (reading comprehension is apparently NOT your forte). Really think gamers need to get a backbone among other things. Usually if you ignore these kind of people they will eventually let you be. I Play games to relax and unwind from everyday life. I understand there is going to be griefing on pvp games. If I can't even progress the initial quests due to bad players that think its funny to harrass someone in the starting area, then yeah, I'm not likely to buy the game, unless I KNOW I can play purely pve. ONE PERSON can ruin it for people if they are gonna act like that during a demo period which is to give perspective "buyers" a feel for what the game is like. So because it didn't happen to YOU, its not an issue for anyone right?įor at LEAST 10 minutes, I had someone follow me, chase me, hit me, hunt me down, IN THE STARTING AREA. And no, there wasn't any problem - spent more than hour in a zone, did some quests, built up first dominium and only once had another player to try hitting me, but did few circles tuning around him dodging his attacks and he was fed up of his PvP thirst :-)

But for the begging, while players are just finding out about this game and numbers are limited there is no point to split the player base too much as you'll end up on thousand solo servers otherwise. But if you come open minded, you'll be fine even if you are not a fan of PvP (I am the one who chooses PvE over PvP too) Even on a PvE servers there are lot of ways to grief if you are easily irritated. So IMO if you come with an attitude, that you won't like game because there are no PvE servers, you'll find it bad for you. I have intentionally created a new character yesterday and went to starter island to check out how valid are complains of OP about griefing. I would agree on "grief might depend on how easy it is to break wall", just in bit different context.
